WHAT TO EXPECT?
Expect the highest level of care and honest advice every visit
First Visit
The purpose of your initial consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic can help you. You should allow 30-45 minutes for this visit.
If after 5 min it looks as though you will not benefit from chiropractic care we will tell you and not charge you for our time. We will also refer you to an appropriate person to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem. We explain everything in advance.
Second Visit
After we study your case we will report to you our findings. We will go through your health history, compare our examination findings and explain what we have found. If you have been referred for X-Rays we will go through them with you. At this point you will know if you are a chiropractic case or not. If you are, congratulations and welcome to the office.
We will discuss your treatment goals, set up a custom treatment plan and if your ready to start, you will receive your first treatment called an adjustment. We will follow your visit up within a couple of days to see how you reacted.
Third Visit
This is ideally the next day to see how you reacted from your first adjustment. We will again confirm the recommendations for care we gave you last visit. These will be based on your examination results and your health goals. We will also plan your preferred appointment times and most likely set some reassessment dates in the future to see how you are tracking. That way if you react well you will need less care but if your body resists change then you will need more care. We will be objective (not subjective) You will also be asked to get your family checked. Family history can play a role in spinal problems, so ask our team about checking your family too.
Regular Visits
After the investment of time needed on the first second and third visit, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length. A typical office visit can range from 5 minutes to 45 minutes if you have Spinal Rehabilitation (see CBP page). Because of the different needs of different people we have various custom plans that will have differing costs. These are discussed in you 2nd visit so we are upfront from the beginning.
With the all the hard work done, we can quickly assess the requirements of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way. The more the chiropractor sees you the better he will be at assessing your spine. Which is great because if you should happen to hurt yourself one day, we will know exactly what has happened and you’ll be back in action in no time.
